Sissymeme Couture fondly called Sisimeme is a bespoke fashion brand dedicated to creating timeless, made-to-measure pieces for women of class and elegance. The brand began as a passion project and evolved into a refined couture house known for precision tailoring, feminine silhouettes, excellence in detail and clean finishing. Every creation is handcrafted from scratch with intention and love, from the first sketch to the final fitting


Our Bespoke Service
Each Sisimeme piece tells a story, from concept sketches, toile fittings to intricate hand-finishing and detailing. We work closely with each client from conceptualisation to bringing their vision to live, to ensure every detail reflects elegance, sophistication, and authenticity.


Our Process
Consultation- A one-on-one session, virtual or in person, where we explore your ideas, vision, occasion, and style preferences into sketches, fabric selections, and mood boards before production begins. 

Our couture experience extends globally, thus we offer virtual consultations, guided measurements, and remote fittings for clients anywhere in the world.

We translate your ideas into a bespoke sketch, complete with fabrics, silhouette and detailing.

Pattern Making & Toile- Our expert team creates a custom pattern design for your body measurement and style followed by an optional toile service where we make a refined prototype to ensure perfect structure, fit, and balance.

The toile is a prototype version of your garment, created using plain fabric.

This service offers precision and allows us to perfect:

* fit * balance * structure and * proportions

First Fitting- Whether using the toile or a partially constructed garment, this fitting allows us to:

* perfect measurements, * adjust the silhouette *assess comfort and lengths *refine the design placement (especially for outfits with intricate detailing)

Virtual fittings are available for international clients.

These adjustments ensure your garment moulds perfectly to your body. 

We usually recommend that the fit is done with the underwear and shoes for your special occasion

Couture Construction- This is where the magic happens.

Your garment is handcrafted from scratch using couture techniques from precise cutting to expert stitching and structural shaping.

Every detail is executed with patience and skill, ensuring the highest level of craftsmanship.

Your design begins to take life in its final fabric.

Detailing, Embellishment & Finishing- We then add the signature details that make Sissymeme Couture truly special; hand-beading, embellishments ,appliqué, embroidery, structural enhancements etc with excellent finishing and attention to details

A refined, polished garment is ready for its final fitting.

Final Fitting & Delivery- A final fitting to ensures a perfect fit. A masterpiece is then presented with luxury packaging and care instructions. Crafted exclusively for you.

Terms of Service (Summary)
Bespoke Orders: Each design is made to measure and handcrafted exclusively for you. Custom orders are non-refundable and non-exchangeable once confirmed.
Lead Time: Standard production is 2–6 weeks, depending on complexity. Express options may be available upon request.
Consultations: Available by appointment only (in-person or virtual).
Shipping: We offer worldwide insured delivery. Customs/import duties (if applicable) are the client’s responsibility.
Fittings: Virtual or in-person fittings are arranged for precision and comfort.

Meet Sisi

Founded by Nigerian-born fashion designer, Isimeme (Sisi), whose tailoring journey began during her time as an Estate Management student at the Obafemi Awolowo University, where Sisi struggled to find well-fitting outfits as a petite woman with a peculiar body type. She quickly turned that challenge into a skill, she taught herself to sew, first learning to tailor her own clothes during long university strikes in Nigeria, trained under mentors and simply transformed a necessity into an enduring passion.

Since inception, Sisi has trained over 500 fashion enthusiast at SFALagos Sisimeme Fashion Academy, while crafting exquisite custom pieces for women of class and built a reputation for clean, structured, and elegant designs.

After taking a purposeful three-year break from the business scenes for family and to deepen her knowledge at the prestigious London College of Fashion, Sisi returns to relaunch the brand Sisimeme with a revitalised vision for the brand. Her time in London not only sharpened her technical skills but also gave her a broader creative vision, rooted in global fashion insight yet grounded in African excellence.

Sisimeme is more than a brand, we don’t just make clothes, we craft statements through timeless bespoke pieces.
